If I need to cancel or reschedule, will I be charged a cancellation fee?

When you make an appointment at Pretty Kitty, that time is reserved especially for you.

Appointments cancelled or missed without enough notice may prevent another client from receiving treatment. Pretty Kitty sends an SMS reminder 72 hours before your appointment, so you can confirm, reschedule or cancel via SMS.

When you reply “YES” to confirm your appointment and then do not show up, you will lose your prepaid appointment. Cancellations after you have confirmed your appointment will result in your appointment being forfeited.

Do I need to do anything before my waxing appointment?

Yes. Please arrive clean and fresh before your Brazilian Waxing appointment. If you are coming straight from work, wipes are provided in the room so you can freshen up before your treatment.

Before your appointment:

• Exfoliate the day before your wax.

• Do not apply moisturiser, oil or heavy products to the area on the day of your appointment.

• If you have never had a Brazilian Wax before, or have not had one in a while, please trim the hair to around 1cm, roughly the length of a grain of rice.

Do I need to do anything after I’ve been waxed?

After waxing, the pores remain open for around 8–10 hours. Sweating during this time can transport bacteria into the open pores and may cause pimples or irritation.

Avoid sunbathing or using a solarium for 48 hours after waxing, as recently waxed areas may be more prone to hyperpigmentation if exposed to UV rays.

​
